We have recently come up with the concept of a self reflective music video including humorous text throughout to point to and label different things that show the music video is aware of its own conventions.  The following are examples we have found that make use of this concept...

All Time Low - I Feel Like Dancin'

In this video we see the band have a discussion with the music video producer about what they're going to do in the video, they then continue to try out different concepts regularly looking strait into the camera and performing  to it.   

Snow Patrol - Called Out In The Dark 

This video shows how the music video is being filmed and what goes on behind the camera whilst the lead singer of the band is one of the workers who keeps on getting in the way and messing things up for everyone.
